Good news for webmasters and anyone that is currently under a penalty or submitting a reconsideration request. Recently at SMX Advanced, Matt Cutts mentioned that they are currently working on how reconsideration requests are handled and the details that are included in the response.
This is great news for webmasters that have been looking for more detailed responses on why their sites have been rejected and what steps need to be taken to help lift a penalty.
Site owners can now look forward to more detailed responses starting immediately when they file reconsideration requests according to Cutts. We are very happy to see Google being more transparent and helpful with the responses and assisting webmasters to comply with quality guidelines.
